In 2026, Avengers: Doomsday will arrive in Italian cinemas. This highly anticipated film is expected to represent a turning point for the MCU. The main villain, after the "elimination" of Kang the Conqueror (a character we have already met in other productions), will be Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. (former interpreter of Iron Man).
At San Diego Comic-Con in July 2022, Marvel Studios announced Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, with Destin Daniel Cretton as director and Jeff Loveness as screenwriter. In November 2023, Michael Waldron replaced Loveness; Jonathan Majors was removed from the role of Kang in December 2023. At Comic-Con in July 2024, the new title, Avengers: Doomsday, was announced, with Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, the Russo brothers as directors, and Stephen McFeely as screenwriter. Filming will begin in 2025 in the United Kingdom, with a release scheduled for May 1, 2026, and the Fantastic Four in the cast.

Blade, postponed

Blade – the creature with all the powers of a vampire, including superhuman strength – will also soon return to the big screen. The new film, initially scheduled for November 7, 2025, has been officially postponed. The first trilogy dedicated to the character (not included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) was released between 1998 and 2004.
In the MCU, Blade will be played by Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali (House of Cards, Luke Cage, Hidden Figures, Moonlight, and Green Book).

Daredevil: Born Again 2 - series (March 4, 2026)
New York jazz and sirens return: Daredevil: Born Again reignites the neon lights of Hell’s Kitchen with a season 2 that promises less formality and more street pressure. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) navigates two boards – courtroom and rooftops – as the city air grows more hostile to vigilantes and alliances become a matter of survival.
The arrival of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) opens a rift of cynicism and investigations that smell of whiskey and broken streetlights. Eight episodes, from March 4, 2026 on Disney+.
Vision Quest (season 1), late 2026
VisionQuest is the new Marvel miniseries coming to Disney+ in late 2026, consisting of eight episodes and part of Phase Six of the MCU. Created by Terry Matalas, it follows Vision (Paul Bettany) after the events of WandaVision, as he tries to reconcile the fragments of his identity and humanity.
