Neuromancer: Teaser Reveals Apple TV+ Series

Apple TV+ took advantage of San Diego Comic-Con to show the first teaser for Neuromancer, the television adaptation of William Gibson's celebrated novel. The preview was presented by protagonist Callum Turner, who appeared via virtual link during the panel dedicated to the platform. The series will debut on January 22, 2027 with the first two episodes, followed by a new weekly installment until March 19, for a total of ten episodes.

Turner plays Case, a disgraced hacker recruited for a mission destined to change his fate. Alongside him is Molly, played by Briana Middleton, an enhanced mercenary with cybernetic implants. Their mission will lead them to confront a powerful corporate dynasty that hides a secret with unpredictable consequences.

The Novel That Defined Cyberpunk

Published in 1984, Neuromancer is considered one of the novels that defined modern cyberpunk, influencing literary, cinematic, and video game works in subsequent years. The series is developed by Graham Roland and JD Dillard, with the latter also directing the first three episodes, while William Gibson himself is among the executive producers.

The cast also includes Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Clémence Poésy, Joseph Lee, Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Emma Laird, and André De Shields. The teaser avoids revealing too much, but it's enough to bring the imagery of Neuromancer back to the screen.
