Palworld was released in January 2024, immediately becoming one of the most sensational video game cases in recent years. Within a month, the monster tamer developed by Japanese studio Pocketpair could boast over 25 million players, with more than 15 million copies sold. Released in early access, Palworld has received 5 major updates so far, the latest of which, patch 0.6.0 Tides of Terraria, arrived in June.

The Future of Palworld

Pocketpair has important news about the future of Palworld and entrusts it to the words of John "Bucky" Buckley, who handles the game's communication. The studio has begun thinking about patch 1.0: the goal is to transition to the full version of Palworld in 2026. However, the current build still has many problems, so in the coming months, priority will be given to fixing everything that needs fixing.

For this reason, in the immediate future, Pocketpair will be less communicative than usual regarding updates, and the next winter update will be smaller in size compared to last year's, Feybreak. This does not mean that development will slow down; on the contrary, Bucky assures us that it's the opposite. Patch 1.0, in addition to providing a more refined gaming experience, will bring with it a lot of content, which Pocketpair will start talking about later.
