A New State of Play Coming Soon?
According to insiders, it's ready for TGS

Sony broadcast a State of Play earlier this month: it was an event focused on the game 007 First Light, as we had the opportunity to report. The previous event, focused on Ghost of Yotei, went online in July, so many thought that Sony's cameras would remain stored away for a while.
Apparently, this will not be the case, or at least that is what insider NateTheHate claims, who, when specifically asked by a follower, confidently states that the PlayStation company has a new State of Play ready to broadcast at the opening of the Tokyo Games Show 2025, scheduled for next week.
State of Play at TGS 2025: What games will be there?
The Edo festival still holds a very high specific weight for the market, especially the Japanese domestic one, so NateTheHate's theory does not seem at all far-fetched; above all, it would confirm what Tom Henderson announced immediately after the last State of Play, thus suggesting that Insomniac's Wolverine could be the protagonist of the event. Bungie's Marathon, postponed to 2026, is also rumored to be shown during the live broadcast.
On the other hand, it is also true that for similar titles, a much more popular and renowned stage could be the Game Awards in December: in light of these considerations, some hypothesize that Sony's State of Play at TGS2025 could become a kind of "Square Enix collaboration showcase", with finally information on Kingdom Hearts 4, the highly anticipated third part of Final Fantasy VII Remake/Rebirth, and the much-rumored Final Fantasy IX Remake/Remaster.
All of this, of course, should be taken with a grain of salt until Sony makes an official statement...
