X-Files: Coogler Has Chosen the Female Lead

Hulu officially reopens TV's most unsettling archives: The X-Files return and take shape under the guidance of Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther, who will write and direct the pilot episode. This project, contrary to recent speculation, is considered a priority by sources close to the production before he returns to major film franchises.

The first confirmed protagonist is Danielle Deadwyler, an actress praised for her intensity and versatility. She will play one of the two federal agents called to reactivate an FBI division dedicated to unsolved cases and unexplained phenomena. The idea is to build a new duo with strong and contrasting dynamics, in the tradition of the original.

The project is not described as a radical reboot, but as a possible evolution set in the same X-Files universe.
