X-Files: The Reboot Takes a Decisive Step
The goal isn't to re-propose the original formula, but to build a new story

The return of X-Files takes an important step. Himesh Patel revealed that filming for the pilot episode has concluded, paving the way for Hulu's decision, which must now determine whether to order a full season.
The actor also clarified one of the most discussed aspects of the project: neither he nor Danielle Deadwyler will portray the historic Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The new direction of the series will introduce new characters, while maintaining a connection to the universe created over thirty years ago.
The Future of the Series Starts Here

Ryan Coogler is at the helm of the reboot, having written and directed the pilot episode. The goal is not to re-propose the original formula, but to build a new story inspired by the spirit of the series, with two FBI agents dealing with inexplicable cases and a division dedicated to paranormal phenomena.
Among the elements destined to recall the past is also the choice of Vancouver as the filming location, a city that decisively contributed to the atmosphere of the early seasons. The project can also count on the presence of Chris Carter as executive producer, while Jennifer Yale serves as showrunner. For now, we must await Hulu's verdict.
