Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV - 30 Minutes with The Last Stand
A deep dive into the survival mode
Publisher Deep Silver and developer King Art Games have confirmed the return of The Last Stand, the horde survival mode, in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. Three players will need to team up to withstand 20 increasingly challenging waves. Each player will take on the role of a commander: there are 5 to choose from (plus others that will arrive after launch as free DLC) and each commander can level up to 30 levels in a match, unlocking extra abilities and equipment.
The main novelty of this mode is that each commander can lead a special Strikeforce, composed of a maximum of four specialized units, which will allow for greater strategic flexibility. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV will be released on December 3, 2026 on PC (Steam), but buyers of the Commander Edition will be entitled to early access from November 30. Pre-orders are open, with a 10% discount.
