After the success of the first chapter, which grossed over 150 million dollars, The Beekeeper 2 is officially in production and promises to raise the action bar even higher. Jason Statham once again stars as Adam Clay, the former assassin-beekeeper ready to deliver justice with punches and explosions.

The most talked-about news is the arrival in the cast of Pom Klementieff, the unforgettable Mantis from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who could play an ally or a ruthless rival to Statham. The sequel will be directed by Timo Tjahjanto, an Indonesian director known for the adrenaline-fueled The Night Comes for Us and fresh from filming Nobody 2. Tjahjanto stated that he wants to transform Adam Clay into a kind of "alternative Punisher", a relentless vigilante with a dark heart.

The film enriches its star lineup with the addition of former wrestler Adam Copeland (WWE's Edge) and Yara Shahidi, while returning cast members include Emmy Raver-Lampman and Bobby Naderi as FBI agents, Jemma Redgrave as the President, and the always magnetic Jeremy Irons as the enigmatic Wallace Westwyld.
