Senua: The Surprise Announcement from Xbox Games Showcase
But don't call it Hellblade 3 anymore, because it aims to be much more

One of the most welcome surprises of this scorching gaming week comes from the English studio Ninja Theory, which took to the stage at the Xbox Games Showcase to announce its new work. A few months ago, an indiscretion suggested that the studio was working on Hellblade 3, a project that would be more "game" than previous installments in the saga. Today we can confirm the rumor, but with a clarification.
First Details on Senua
Ninja Theory's new title is simply called Senua: it was decided not to use the designation "Hellblade III" because it is a groundbreaking chapter compared to a past that was oriented towards adventure. Senua, instead, will be a full-fledged action/adventure, with greater emphasis on combat, environmental puzzles, and exploration, but without sacrificing the cinematic flair and psychological characterization typical of the franchise.
Just take a look at the announcement trailer to notice the difference from what Ninja Theory has created before: we see Senua fighting as she never has before. The protagonist will be able to wield various weapons and use multiple abilities. The map will be approximately twice the size of Hellblade II's, with interconnected areas and secrets to discover. The only element in common with the past will be the linearity of the story.
Where and When Senua Will Be Released
Senua is another highlight for the Xbox lineup next year: the launch window is therefore set for 2027. You will find Ninja Theory's new work on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Xbox PC) and from day one on the Game Pass service.
