The Alters gets a free update: all the new features

Among the surprises of 2025, we must mention The Alters, a sci-fi survival game where the protagonist Jan Dolski, a space castaway on a hostile planet, creates multiple clones of himself. If you're not familiar with it yet, we sing its praises in our review; its developer, the Polish 11 Bit Studios, has just released a major free update, introducing several new features. Let's discover them together.

The Alters update content

• Gamers' Den - The "gamer's den" is a new living module where you can relax by engaging in recreational activities.
• Card Game - Inside the Gamers' Den, you can also entertain yourself with a new card minigame. Who knows, maybe it will become a cult classic?
• Custom Base Skins - The appearance of the modules that make up your base can be customized with various decorations.
• Custom Spacesuit Skins - Like the base, your spacesuit can also have its appearance changed as desired.
• Photo Mode - If you like to immortalize your alters, searching for the perfect shot, now you can.
• Relax Mode - A lower difficulty level, where survival and time limits are less pressing; ideal for those who want to focus on the story.
• New Save System - The system has been improved. The game now auto-saves upon exiting and before important scenes.
