New content is inspired by Super Mario Galaxy

From Super Mario Galaxy (2007, Nintendo Wii) to Mario Tennis Fever (2026, Nintendo Switch 2), the leap is shorter than it might seem. The sports title is enhanced with a free update, introducing new space-themed content, starting with the Galaxy Court, where the ball bounces higher. Characters can then wield the Black Hole Racket, which has the power to… suck in opponents.

Matches on the Galaxy Court can be disrupted by the Ghost Comet, capable of altering gameplay in various ways. Finally, there are also new color variations for the Lumas. Mario Tennis Fever is an ideal title for those who want to have fun with friends, but the single-player offering is barebones and, overall, it's not the great title that Switch 2 would need: we delve deeper into this in our review.
