State of Decay 3 like Senua: risks being cut from Xbox
The future of Undead Labs has become very uncertain
The studios that are part of the large Xbox family are going through a very delicate period. Microsoft's gaming division has initiated a restructuring that will unfortunately cause a heavy wave of layoffs, jeopardizing the existence of several teams: recently, Ninja Theory, Double Fine, and Compulsion Games were named, but the list could be longer.
State of Decay 3 could be canceled
To the list, we must add the name of Undead Labs: according to Jez Corden (via Windows Central), Microsoft is evaluating the possibility of selling the US studio and, if unsuccessful, that of canceling State of Decay 3. The zombie game was recently shown at the Xbox Showcase: development is in a rather advanced stage (alpha tests are already underway) and the launch window has been set for 2027, but despite this, it might never see the light of day.
