Spider-Noir – First Double Trailer with Nicolas Cage
A private investigator far removed from the superhero's adolescent iconography

Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser for Spider-Noir, a live-action series set in 1930s New York that brings a twilight version of the Marvel myth to the screen. Starring Nicolas Cage, who previously voiced the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, here he plays Ben Reilly: a private investigator marked by his past and far removed from the superhero's adolescent iconography.
Double artistic version Black and White...
The tone is distinctly noir: pouring rain, smoky venues, sudden violence, and a mantra inverted from tradition. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video and will be available from May 27th with all episodes released simultaneously.
An interesting feature: the show can be watched in two versions, one in authentic black and white and one in desaturated colors, a direct homage to the aesthetic of the Spider-Man Noir comics. A stylistic choice that reinforces the project's pulp identity and emphasizes its authorial ambition.
...and desaturated colors
Behind the production machine we find Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, already involved in the animated success of the Spider-Verse. The direction of the first episodes is entrusted to Harry Bradbeer, while Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot lead the writing.
The cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. If the promises of the teaser are kept, Spider-Noir could represent the most adult and melancholic interpretation ever dedicated to Spider-Man on television.
