Pirates of the Caribbean - Producer Jerry Bruckheimer Speaks Out
The Hollywood tycoon also commented on Johnny Depp's possible return

Apparently, there's still wind in the sails for the Pirates of the Caribbean ship. Veteran Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed that the project with Margot Robbie is alive and in full development. This isn't just a rumor: Disney is indeed working on a new script.
Since 2017, the year Dead Men Tell No Tales was released, the saga had been stalled, with many doubts about its future. In 2022, Robbie herself had declared her film “dead,” but now Bruckheimer is turning the situation around: one of the scripts developed for the franchise is still moving forward, and the Australian actress is still involved.
An Adventure That Could Change History

The Johnny Depp question remains open. The actor has not been confirmed, but the producer has repeatedly hinted that the door is not entirely closed. It's hard to imagine the pirate universe without Jack Sparrow, even if the idea of pairing him with or replacing him with Margot Robbie's energy could breathe new life into the saga.
Disney thus aims to expand one of the most profitable cinematic brands of the 21st century, capable of grossing over 4.5 billion dollars at the box office. After the planetary triumph of Barbie, entrusting Robbie with the helm of a new adventure could be the right move to make the Black Pearl set sail again.
