Mortal Kombat II: The Final Trailer Unleashes the Tournament
Beyond Johnny Cage, the heart of the trailer lies in Bi-Han's transformation

The final trailer for Mortal Kombat II definitively raises the stakes and clarifies the project's ambitions: pure spectacle but with a more direct link to the saga's mythology.
The new footage highlights Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, a central figure in this chapter. His entrance brings rhythm and lightness, balancing a context that becomes increasingly darker.
The tournament is ready to begin
The heart of the trailer, however, is entirely in Bi-Han's transformation. The character played by Joe Taslim definitively abandons the identity of Sub-Zero to be reborn as Noob Saibot, marking a darker turn for the story. The confrontation with Scorpion, once again entrusted to Hiroyuki Sanada, thus becomes one of the emotional pillars of the film, between revenge and destiny.
Alongside the action, the final trailer also makes room for a key element for fans: the return to sounds that directly recall the historical chapters of the series, reinforcing that arcade identity that had made the brand immediately recognizable.
Directed by Simon McQuoid, the film sets the stage for a decisive clash against Shao Kahn. The goal is to transform the sequel into an event capable of speaking to the historical audience but also to those looking for an action blockbuster without knowing the video game franchise. Release in Italian cinemas on May 6, 2026.
