The New Mexico desert becomes a hunting ground for genetically modified individuals in the Italian trailer for Onslaught – Assalto Finale, the new action-thriller written and directed by Adam Wingard. The film will arrive in Italian cinemas on October 1st with I Wonder Pictures.

At the center of the story is Celeste, a former army sniper who has left her military life behind and lives in isolation with her daughter Daisy. However, the escape of a group of supersoldiers from a secret government facility forces her to take up arms again.

She is played by Adria Arjona, who, after Andor and Hit Man – Killer per caso, finds herself tackling a decidedly more physical role. Unfortunately, the three fleeing war machines head straight for her, turning the surrounding territory into a battlefield.

A siege that seems to offer no respite

The film seems to reminiscent of The Guest, letting the impact of the images and the brutality of the clashes dictate the pace. The cast includes Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, Drew Starkey, Michael Biehn, and Reginald VelJohnson. For UFC champion Alex Pereira, it marks his big screen debut.

The Italian trailer shows a siege built on direct confrontation, with Adria's character forced to rediscover a side of herself that seemed long buried. Memories return to Roland Emmerich's 1992 Universal Soldier – I nuovi eroi, where soldiers fallen in battle were transformed into war machines (almost) devoid of feelings.
