Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was announced way back at E3 2017, but then its traces were lost for a long time, to the point that we started to wonder what had happened to it. Finally, the long, endless wait for the return of the acclaimed saga is almost over: the game will be launched next Thursday, December 4, on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 consoles. In view of the release, new information has been shared regarding it.

Metroid Prime 4: The Two Graphics Modes

The Nintendo Switch 2 edition will feature the choice between two graphics modes, Quality and Performance, of which we report the resolution and frame rate below:

Quality Mode

  • TV: 4K 60fps HDR
  • Handheld: 1080p 60fps HDR

Performance Mode

  • TV: 1080p 120fps HDR
  • Handheld: 720p 120fps HDR

Nintendo Switch 2 users will therefore be able to choose whether to watch Samus on their TV in 4K, or lower the resolution to 1080p, but increasing the frame rate to 120 fps

Metroid Prime 4: Difficulty

Regarding the difficulty level, at the beginning of the game you can choose between Casual or Normal mode. Casual increases damage dealt to enemies and decreases damage taken, so it is ideal for those who prefer a low challenge level. Only after completing the campaign is Hard mode unlocked.
