Marvel Rivals Season 4 - Also on PS4
NetEase game returns to the old generation
Marvel Rivals, NetEase's free-to-play Hero-Game, debuted last autumn and is now preparing to kick off its Season 4, titled The Heart of the Dragon. For the occasion, the team has released a new trailer heavily featuring the newly introduced character, the acclaimed Daredevil.
At the end of the video, however, a new platform appears in the list of available platforms for the game: in addition to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, - lo and behold - PS4 is mentioned. As strange as it may seem, NetEase has evidently determined that the installed base of Sony's "old" console, now approaching its 12th anniversary, is still very large and therefore rich in potential users.
On the other hand, it's no secret that Sony is once again going through a turbulent period with its white flagship: between the pandemic that made the launch difficult, the superconductor crisis, inflation, and - ultimately - the Trump administration's tariffs, there seems to be no peace for PS5, which continues to increase in price and for which there are rumors of a reduction in HD capacity for upcoming Slim models. It doesn't seem so strange, then, that software houses are turning back, where possible, to the much more widespread and economical PS4...
