Prime Video has announced a new multi-year agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery that will bring HBO Max to Prime Video in Italy, Germany, and Austria. Starting today, users can subscribe to HBO Max as an add-on subscription, accessing a vast catalog of premium content through Prime Video's familiar interface.
The agreement strengthens the global partnership between Prime Video and WBD and extends existing collaborations in other European countries such as France, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Belgium. Subscribers will be able to choose from different plans – Basic with Ads, Standard, and Premium – in addition to the Sports option.
Quadruple Offer for All Needs

The catalog includes HBO Originals, Max Originals, Warner Bros. films, and titles from the DC universe. Key content includes A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a new chapter in the Game of Thrones universe, the medical drama The Pitt, upcoming films like Superman, Weapons, and The Conjuring – The Last Rites, as well as beloved classics like Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
There will also be ample space for European productions with German series like 4 Blocks Zero and Banksters, and Italian titles such as Portobello by Marco Bellocchio, Melania Rea – Beyond the Case, and docuseries dedicated to Gina Lollobrigida and the Saman case.
With the Sports package, HBO Max will also offer major events such as the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the Australian Open, and Roland Garros, confirming itself as one of the most comprehensive streaming offerings on the market.
