Monster Hunter Rise Sells Millions and Goes Mobile
Capcom Records Another Major Success

Monster Hunter Rise was originally released in March 2021 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch console. The following year, this video game was also released on PC and received a massive expansion called Sunbreak. In 2023, it was also released on PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Developer Capcom has announced that the game recently reached a prestigious milestone.
Monster Hunter Rise Sales
In a message on the official Monster Hunter Twitter/X account, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Rise sales have surpassed the 20 million copies mark. It is the second most successful title in the series, behind Monster Hunter World (which has sold over 22 million copies). The Sunbreak expansion has also achieved considerable success, with approximately a dozen million copies sold.
Monster Hunter Rise Mobile
The reach of Monster Hunter Rise is set to increase further with the arrival of mobile versions. Pages dedicated to the hunting game have appeared on Google Play and App Store, published by Netflix (thus requiring a subscription) on Android and iOS devices. Unfortunately, we do not yet know if this initiative is aimed at all markets or not, nor the relevant timings.
Monster Hunter Rise has hit the magnificent milestone of 20 million copies sold! To celebrate, please enjoy this Dango filled special artwork from the team. Thank you for your support, hunters of Kamura #MHRise is currently discounted on Nintendo eShop & Steam too! https://t.co/ZOcB2OLvHu
