Better Than Dead: The New Photorealistic Shooter from MicroProse

MicroProse is a name that should need no introduction: if you're a long-time gamer, you've probably enjoyed some of the masterpieces published by the company back in the day. Perhaps not everyone knows that today MicroProse is still a very active publisher, although its name remains inextricably linked to the pages of video game history written last millennium. 

Better Than Dead: Bodycam and Realism

MicroProse will publish the game in development at an Italian developer, Monte Gallo. Better Than Dead is an FPS with a bodycam view, whose calling card is an impactful graphics compartment, the result of Unreal Engine 5: a project that reminds us a bit of Unrecord and Bodycam. Just look at the trailer to get an idea of the realism of the locations (a level not maintained by characters and animations, to be honest).

Coming to PC (Steam) at a later date, Better Than Dead promises to be an essential and ruthless shooter experience: armed with only a pistol, you'll have to make your way through brutal levels, where a single missed shot can get you killed. The setting is 1990s Hong Kong: 80s and 90s Hong Kong action cinema is cited as a source of inspiration (in fact, the game's name could be a reference to A Better Tomorrow).
