The Influencer Project - New Horror from the Creators of Blair Witch

Thirty years after The Blair Witch Project, Eduardo Sánchez and Gregg Hale return to found footage with The Influencer Project. At the center of the new horror is the world of influencers, observed through a story inspired by real events. The U.S. theatrical release is scheduled for October 2, 2026.

The protagonist is Chiara King, a beauty and fashion influencer who travels to Copenhagen with a crew to document her life unfiltered. However, the project changes nature when an obsessive fan begins to follow her and progressively close in on her.

From the Blair Witch forest to social media

An individual obsessed with Chiara begins to follow her every move. What was supposed to be a project dedicated to an influencer's life progressively transforms into the documentation of a persecution, as it becomes increasingly difficult to understand where public content ends and a potentially dangerous situation begins.

The film is directed by Mike Nybroe, in his feature film debut, and is born from the collaboration between Hades Films and the Danish Point Neuf. Sánchez and Hale are among the producers along with Nybroe himself, Alex Hertzberg, and Ahmet Zappa.

The Influencer Project is presented as "a film inspired by real events" and aims to transfer the fear of found footage into an era where private life is continuously exposed to an unknown audience.
