Balatro continues slowly, patch 1.1 not coming in 2025
The major update has been postponed, with no date set

Balatro, the indie phenomenon of "just one more game and then I'll stop" inspired by poker, was supposed to receive a major update this year, patch 1.1. Its developer, an anonymous Canadian hiding behind the nickname LocalThunk, had personally confirmed this during an interview, but apparently, things have changed in recent months and the timeline has been revised.
Balatro takes its time and rejects deadlines
Patch 1.1 will not be released in 2025: LocalThunk confirmed this on his blog. The reason is that the development of new content has taken on a more relaxed pace: LocalThunk is approaching it as if it were a hobby, without forcing the creative process and, above all, avoiding crunch and stress that he encountered during the most feverish periods of activity. The update no longer has a date; it will be released when it's ready. Rather, if for some reason you still don't know the game in question, there's our Balatro review.
