ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 - The 30th Anniversary GPU

Asus Republic of Gamers celebrates 30 years of its GPU division with the official debut of the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition, the commemorative graphics card first unveiled at Gamescom 2025. This limited-edition model was created to showcase the most advanced point ROG has reached in terms of thermal design and pure power.

A Point of Arrival...and Departure

The new top-tier model pushes hardware beyond traditional boundaries: when connected to an Advanced BTF motherboard and a 12V-2x6 power supply, it can draw up to 800 Watts, offering a performance increase of up to 10%. This capability is made possible by a radical cooling system, centered on 4x fans that generate a 20% more powerful vertical airflow, a vapor chamber with a mirror finish, and some heatsink fins made of pure copper. Optimized thermal contact and the use of liquid metal ensure temperatures more than 5°C lower than the previous generation.

The card also integrates a PCB with 3 ounces of copper, which stabilizes overclocking and improves cooling for voltage regulators. For extreme overclocking enthusiasts, the Memory Defroster system activates near thermal zero, preventing memory freezes during LN2 sessions. Completing the package is the GPU Tweak III software, with advanced monitoring tools, card sag detection, and power diagnostics via Power Detector+.
