ASUS Expands BTF Lineup with New GeForce RTX 5080
Platform evolution also comes down to build quality

ASUS is bringing its BTF platform to the GeForce RTX 5080 segment, announcing the new TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 BTF OC Edition. Both cards adopt the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and aim to make the PC interior tidier thanks to a power delivery system that reduces cable clutter.
The main innovation is the BTF 2.5 technology, which introduces a removable GC-HPWR connector. This solution allows the new RTX 5080s to be used with both ASUS BTF motherboards and traditional models, offering greater flexibility for future upgrades. The connector is designed to handle up to 1000 Watts, while the classic 12V-2x6 input remains available.
More Freedom in Configuration Choices

To ensure consistent performance, ASUS combines a vapor chamber with a large heatsink featuring Axial-tech fans, MaxContact technology, and a semi-passive mode that stops the fans during light loads. The package is completed by TUF-certified components, high-durability capacitors, a PCB protected against dust and humidity, and the Auto-Extreme manufacturing process, designed to improve build quality and reliability.
ASUS has not yet announced pricing and availability for the new TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 BTF Edition and BTF OC Edition.
