Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the remake of the 2013 title of the same name: technically, there has been excellent progress, but on the gameplay side, innovation is lacking. We explain it well in our review; however, if you are among the many who have enjoyed Ubisoft's title, know that an update is arriving today that might make you want to sail the Caribbean Sea again.

Details of Update 1.08

Ubisoft has released patch 1.08, the last major update for Black Flag Resynced, available today on all platforms (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC). This update introduces an anticipated feature, which had already been confirmed in July: it's New Game+, which allows you to replay the campaign while retaining most of what you've accumulated in your inventory. It will be possible to perform up to five consecutive runs from the same save file.

More skilled players can test themselves with the new Nightmare Mode: as the name suggests, it is a higher difficulty level, where enemies are more reactive and hit much harder. These enemies can be eliminated with a new set of takedown animations. Finally, patch 1.08 introduces a long series of rewards, including cosmetic items or those inspired by community contributions.
