Ubisoft's pirate game returns to screens, with a new look
Ubisoft announces the release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: the game is available starting today, July 9, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Ubisoft Connect, Steam) platforms and on the Ubisoft+ Premium service, accompanied by the launch trailer. A remake of the 2013 title of the same name, Resynced updates the experience with a technical department rebuilt from scratch using the Anvil graphics engine, with the aim of enhancing the experience and immersion.
The graphics department, in particular, proves to be the most welcome aspect of this remake: as we explain in our Resynced review, for the entire franchise it represents a step forward in terms of technique, with astonishingly recreated scenarios. Overall, we find it to be an excellent remake, which remains faithful to the philosophy of the original and even expands upon it, although it did not dare to innovate on the gameplay side (and it shows).
