Tom Holland - What Happened After the On-Set Injury
The mysterious injured woman, the ambulance, and the rumors denied by his father

In recent days, the web has been filled with sensationalist headlines about a supposed serious injury to the actor during the filming of Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day. But the truth is far less dramatic.
No ambulance, no mysterious injured woman, and no production halt: it was all the result of exaggerated rumors. The situation was clarified by Dominic Holland, the actor's father, on his blog The Brothers Trust, debunking one after another the unchecked news that had circulated.
Much Ado About Nothing

In reality, Tom did experience an illness, but not on set. It all happened during a charity dinner organized by the Holland family, where the young actor excused himself and was found by his parents while vomiting. "If a concussion is recognized, you must stay away from bright lights and excessive noise," his father stated. Taken home and kept under observation, Tom received confirmation from doctors that it was just a passing episode.
With his typical British humor, Dominic also recounted joking with director Destin Daniel Cretton, revealing the serenity with which the family handled the incident. Today, the actor is making a full recovery, and his return to work as Spider-Man is not at all in jeopardy.
