New York is preparing to welcome back Miranda Priestly and her impeccable Runway team. Almost twenty years after the film that defined an era, The Devil Wears Prada 2 marks the return of the original cast: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reprise the roles that made them unforgettable, under the direction of David Frankel and a screenplay once again penned by Aline Brosh McKenna.

The new work, produced by Wendy Finerman with Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and McKenna as executive producers, promises to explore the evolution of the fashion world in the era of social media and new digital trends, while maintaining the sharp and ironic style that made the first chapter a cult.

The Apprentice Wants to Surpass the Master

This time Miranda Priestly is at war with Emily Charlton, her former assistant turned executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amidst declining print media, while Miranda approaches retirement.

Alongside the original protagonists, the cast will be joined by stars of the caliber of Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, and Patrick Brammall, along with young talents Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will return as Lily and Irv, respectively, reprising their original roles.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will arrive in Italian cinemas on April 29, 2026, ready to bring back to the big screen the glamour, rivalries, and ruthless charm of a world where fashion is much more than what you wear.
