A love story at the heart of a new galactic adventure, with Rey Skywalker in the role of mentor. This is the direction that, according to some rumors, Lucasfilm is considering for the future Star Wars: Episode X, a project that would focus on much younger protagonists compared to previous trilogies.

Information released by the CBM portal and leaker FivesWalker speaks of two actors barely in their twenties. Their romantic relationship would represent one of the core elements of the story, with a Young Adult approach that in some aspects would resemble The Hunger Games.

The male protagonist would be an orphan raised in difficult conditions, involved in a murder destined to change his existence. The girl, on the other hand, would belong to a royal family, with a privileged upbringing and a perfectionist character.

According to Daniel Richtman, actress Daisy Ridley would return as Rey, this time with a different function: to support the two young protagonists as a mentor. The production would also like to bring back some faces from the sequel trilogy, though no specific names have yet emerged.

A rumor also concerns Star Wars: New Jedi Order, a film announced in 2023 and dedicated to the reconstruction of the Jedi Order. The project may have been shelved or transformed, with some ideas incorporated into the new trilogy entrusted to Simon Kinberg, but Lucasfilm has not confirmed this account.
