Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tombstone Appears
The shot reportedly shows the villain giving Spider-Man serious trouble

A presumed image is circulating online from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and, if confirmed, it could change expectations for the film's tone. The shot reportedly shows Tombstone giving Tom Holland's Spider-Man serious trouble.
Considered authentic by many after the usual online checks, the shot features an extremely faithful villain to his comic book counterpart: very pale skin, imposing physique, zero concessions to an overly digital aesthetic. The character is reportedly played by Marvin Jones III, here in a version that directly recalls the darker atmospheres of Marvel comics.

In the comics, Lonnie Lincoln starts as a marginal figure only to transform into one of New York's most dangerous crime bosses, often clashing with Spider-Man and with ambitions of a true crime lord. If the film were to follow this direction, the narrative might abandon multiversal suggestions to focus on an urban, physical confrontation, almost like a crime story.
Directing is Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi, while the release date is set for July 31, 2026. The first trailer is expected in the coming weeks: it will be an opportunity to understand if Tombstone will truly be the narrative lynchpin of the new chapter.
