Rush Hour 4 - Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker Return

After years of silence, postponements, and rumors related to the saga's revival, Rush Hour is finally set to return. The fourth adventure of the duo formed by Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker has been officially confirmed, bringing back into the spotlight one of the most popular buddy movies of the '90s and 2000s.

The news arrives at a time when Hollywood is dusting off numerous franchises, but in this case, both original protagonists will be present. The hope is that they are ready to recreate that unmistakable blend of comedy and acrobatics despite the passage of time: Jackie is now 71 and Chris is 54.

The project restarts with a significant surprise on the production front. Paramount will handle international distribution, without participating in the film's financing or marketing. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker will return in the roles of Inspector Lee and Detective Carter, the pair who in 1998 launched a trilogy capable of captivating audiences with choreographed action and irresistible jokes. Brett Ratner will once again direct, a controversial figure due to the accusations of sexual assault against him in recent years, but nonetheless reconfirmed to lead the new production. After various reboot attempts and suspended negotiations, Rush Hour 4 finally seems to have all the makings of becoming a reality.
