New Evil Dead Burn trailer and a shocking return
The Necronomicon unleashes a new wave of possessions and uncontrollable violence

The new chapter in the Evil Dead saga promises to push the franchise into even more extreme territories. Sony has released a new version of the trailer for Evil Dead Burn, less explicit than the previous “red band” one, but full of new details about the plot and atmosphere of the film directed by Sébastien Vaniek.
The story follows Alice, a woman devastated by the loss of her husband who decides to move into her in-laws' old house. There, as is tradition for the series born from the imagination of Sam Raimi, the Necronomicon once again unleashes a wave of possessions and uncontrollable violence.
Direct connection to Evil Dead Rise
The most discussed element of the trailer, however, concerns the return of Jessica, the Deadite who appeared in the memorable opening of Evil Dead Rise. This time the character seems to have a central role in the story, fueling the idea of an increasingly connected narrative universe between the various films in the saga.
Vaniek has stated that he wants to make “a horror that makes the viewer feel sick”, and from the released images, a darker and more suffocating tension than in the past clearly emerges. However, the taste for the grotesque and the black humor that continue to distinguish Evil Dead even in its modern incarnations are still present.
Behind the scenes, Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Rob Tapert also return, guaranteeing continuity for one of the most beloved and ferocious horror sagas of all time.
