Phantom Blade Zero Releases Today: The Launch of the Kungfupunk Game
From China with fury, but also a bit of confusion
Chinese studio S-Game announces the release of Phantom Blade Zero, available starting today, October 29, on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) platforms. The game is a dark fantasy action/RPG inspired by Eastern folklore, centering the experience on martial arts, in perfect Wuxia style. This element is considered so important by the developers that they have defined their title as "kungfupunk".
It is a work with undeniable potential, which from its premises seemed to have what it takes to become a new Black Myth: Wukong, but unfortunately remained unfinished. The ideas are there, the charisma too, the combat system hints at great things, but then defects such as unhappy camera management, lag during fights, poorly calibrated difficulty, etc., creep in... We explain it thoroughly in our Phantom Blade Zero review.
