Peaky Blinders - Not Just a Film on the Horizon for the Franchise
A long bridge between the original series and the dark future of the Shelby family

Netflix has just confirmed that Peaky Blinders will not only live on in the anticipated film The Immortal Man, but will continue with a new sequel series set in the post-war era. A double blow that has ignited fan expectations.
Directed by Tom Harper and written by creator Steven Knight, the film will see the return of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, joined by a stellar cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, and Barry Keoghan. It will be the bridge between the original series and the new adventure, showing the Shelbys in full total war.
The Shelby Story Continues

Immediately after comes the real surprise: a double season of 6 episodes each, set in 1953. The war-torn Birmingham of World War II will become the new battlefield, with the Shelbys vying for power in a city trying to be reborn amidst concrete and steel.
Knight explained that we will see a new generation take command, keeping the connection with Tommy and the old protagonists alive, but giving a fresh face to the clan. “It will be a brutal competition of mythical proportions,” declared the author, who considers Peaky Blinders his most personal work.
There is no official release date yet, but fans can prepare: first the film, then the series where the Shelbys will continue to leave their mark.
