Ordained - Colin Farrell: Priest Between Faith and Fury
Derek Kolstad described the story as "a fusion of faith and fury"

Colin Farrell is ready to don the cassock, but not to deliver sermons. The Irish actor will star in Ordained, the film adaptation of the cult comic book from Bad Idea Comics, written by Robert Venditti and illustrated by Trevor Hairsine. This was revealed by Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick, during New York Comic Con, sparking enthusiasm.
In Ordained, the actor of Irish descent will play Father Roy, a former Navy SEAL turned priest who finds himself in the crosshairs of the Irish mafia after administering last rites to their boss, Cormac Byrne. When the criminal miraculously survives, he decides to seek revenge, unaware that the priest who heard his sins is trained to survive anything.

Kolstad described the story as "a fusion of faith and fury", promising a film that will blend brutal action, dark humor, and an unusual moral reflection. "When I read the comic, I knew I had to bring it to the cinema, even if it cost me my life," confessed the screenwriter.
The film will mark Farrell's return to more physical action after The Batman, but with an unprecedented character: a man of faith who does not kill, but who knows how to dispense justice in a rather alternative measure. With the comic's release scheduled for December 2025, Ordained promises to unite pulp, spirituality, and redemption in an explosive mix.
