Nicolas Cage returns to confront horror cinema with Parish, a survival-thriller that will see him at the center of a ruthless fight against a community of cannibals.

The story is set thirty years after a nuclear war. Cage plays a survivor who has transformed his home into a fortress and lives by a precise rule: no one must cross the gate. His attack dogs, trained to face any threat, also protect him.

A Heart Still Beats Inside the Fortress

The protagonist's balance is shattered when a desperate woman arrives at the refuge with a newborn. Parish decides to intervene, and that act of humanity ends up attracting the attention of a band of cannibals from the devastated lands. His refuge is thus transformed into a battlefield, while a past he thought he had left behind returns to haunt him. Does anyone remember Omega Man with Charlton Heston, known in Italy as 1975: occhi bianchi sul pianeta Terra?

Adam Sigal, already the author of Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose, will direct Parish. The project, produced by Concourse Media, is currently in the international pre-sales phase. The producers are aiming for the big screen, with Cage called upon to once again exploit his unpredictability.
