Mistbound: Guild Wars Card Game Announcement
A Collectible Card Game based… on movement

Publisher NCsoft and developer ArenaNet have announced Mistbound: Guild Wars Card Game. As the name suggests, it is the collectible card game of Guild Wars: the characters, scenarios, and main features of the popular MMORPG are re-proposed in a different kind of experience. In Mistbound, fans of the franchise will find many familiar elements.
Mistbound Features
The main distinguishing feature of Mistbound compared to its competitors will be card movement: players will be able to move them on the battlefield, which consists of a 3x5 grid of squares, adding an extra strategic aspect based on positioning and distance from the enemy. Mistbound aims to give users great freedom in deck creation, always starting with a commander.
Mistbound Commanders
The various professions from Guild Wars 2 have been reinterpreted in Mistbound to define the different Commander types. ArenaNet has presented four of them:
- Warrior - Fights on the front lines, relying on brute force. Drags enemies towards them, forcing them into battle.
- Mesmer - Uses illusions on the battlefield to confuse the enemy and create unexpected opportunities.
- Necromancer - Resorts to venomous means and grows stronger as the conflict progresses.
- Ranger - Prefers ranged attacks and traps to control space from multiple angles.
