Guild Wars 3: The Announcement Trailer from Summer Game Fest

One of the most famous MMORPG franchises will receive a new chapter: from the stage of Summer Game Fest, NCsoft and ArenaNet have announced Guild Wars 3. Set over a thousand years before the original game, Guild Wars 3 will transport players to Orr, a magical and vital world contested by guilds. Players will join the Vaelwardens, a guild sworn to protect the land and its inhabitants.

The announcement trailer shows us the style of Guild Wars 3 and aims to convey a sense of dynamism, because ArenaNet promises a movement system with a momentum never before experienced in an MMORPG. The video also features the Seeker, the mount that will be ridden in the game. The combat system will emphasize strategic skill usage, positioning, and movement; according to the developers, it will be satisfying with both mouse+keyboard and gamepad.

Where and When Guild Wars 3 Arrives

There's a reason why combat needs to satisfy both control methods: Guild Wars 3 will be released not only on PC, but also on PlayStation 5.
