Metroid Prime 4: Combined Switch and Switch 2 Sales Exceed One Million
Small consolation, but we expected it
In Nintendo's financial report published a few days ago, some may have noticed the absence of a certain Metroid Prime 4: Beyond from the list of titles that have surpassed the milestone of one million copies sold. Well, the matter was taken to heart and Nintendo itself was questioned about it, confirming: Samus's latest adventure has indeed reached the goal, but only if we combine the sales of the Switch and Switch 2 versions.
The Kyoto-based company tracks cross-gen game sales separately, as demonstrated by Pokémon Legends: Z-A with just under 4 million on Switch 2 and over 8 million on Switch. Therefore, Beyond in both cases failed to enter this coveted circle. Metroid has never been a bestseller, and Prime 4 was not particularly appreciated by most (and not without reason), but it's disappointing after all these years of waiting and hype. Will Prime 5 still happen? We hope so...
