Nintendo Switch 2: Sales Exceed 23 Million Units

Nintendo has shared sales data for its products, updated as of June 30, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 console has reached 23.68 million units: at the end of last year, it was at 17.37 million, meaning it sold 6.31 million units in the first six months of 2026. As for software, a total of 58.17 million games have been sold for Switch 2, almost 2 and a half for every console.

Nintendo Switch Chasing PS2's Record 

From Nintendo's report, it emerges that Switch 2's most successful title by far is Mario Kart World, with a remarkable 15.39 million copies sold. The second in the ranking, Donkey Kong Bananza, stands at 4.78 million. It's also interesting to note the sales of the first Nintendo Switch, which have reached 156.59 million (+1.22 million in six months), further approaching PlayStation 2, the best-selling console of all time with approximately 160 million units.
