Masters of Albion: Peter Molyneux's return to the god game genre
The release date of what could be his last work

If you're a video game enthusiast, then Peter Molyneux is probably a name that needs no introduction. If you're not familiar with him, know that this British game designer has written fundamental pages in the fields of strategy, tactics, and management, signing cult works such as Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Syndicate, Black & White, to which we can also add a certain Fable.
A recurring element in Molyneux's productions is the ability to impersonate a deity, a characteristic that led to these games being dubbed "god games". His next work, which could also be the last of a brilliant career (albeit one that has fallen somewhat into obscurity in recent years), will also be a title of this genre. Production is entrusted to 22cans, an English studio founded by Molyneux himself.

Features of Masters of Albion
Masters of Albion will be a god game where we will have to use our divine powers to make a civilization prosper in a medieval fantasy universe, and protect it from dangers. This title blends elements of strategy, city-building, and tower defense, with the addition of heroes. Masters of Albion will follow a peculiar day/night cycle: during daylight hours, players will have to work to develop their settlements, while at night they will have to fight to resist waves of evil creatures.
Masters of Albion release date
If you can't wait to get your hands on Molyneux's new game (and by the way, there will be a divine hand acting as a cursor, as is traditional for the studio), the appointment is set for next spring: Masters of Albion will be released on April 22, 2026. You will find this video game on PC, via Steam, in early access.
