Marvel's Wolverine at 2.4 Million Units, PS5 Nearing 100 Million
Sales of Sony's latest big exclusive haven't performed very well

Since its launch, Marvel's Wolverine has given the impression of not having truly hit the mark, unlike other PlayStation first-party titles in the past. Behind this title is the experience of Insomniac Games, which managed to deliver an enjoyable blockbuster, but not as polished as one might expect from a studio of this caliber: we explain it thoroughly in our review. Now this impression has been confirmed by sales data.
Marvel's Wolverine Sales
Sony's latest financial report lists the sales of the company's main titles: from it, we learn that Marvel's Wolverine has only sold 2.4 million units as of November 4th, which is 50 days after its launch. The comparison with Insomniac's previous game is stark: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 reached 2.5 million in just 24 hours. It's quite concerning that Saros is not listed, which suggests a disastrous commercial performance.
PlayStation 5 Sales
The report also updates us on PlayStation 5 sales, which reached 97.9 million units as of September 30th: it's likely that the fateful 100 million threshold will be surpassed by the end of the year. Data related to the PlayStation Network is also positive, recording 127 million active users in the third quarter of 2026, an increase of 2 million compared to the previous quarter and 8 million compared to the same period in 2025.
