Gale: Yellow Brick Road – The Wizard of Oz in Horror Trailer
An unsettling reinterpretation of Oz and its characters, some of which are new

The world of The Wizard of Oz is preparing to return to the big screen in a decidedly unexpected version. Following the success of Wicked: For Good comes Gale: Yellow Brick Road, a horror film loosely inspired by L. Frank Baum's classic, ready to reinterpret the universe of Oz in a dark and disturbing way.
In the USA, the film will have a one-night event release, set for February 11, 2026, thanks to Chilling Films and Fathom Entertainment. The screenings will be accompanied by a special 5-minute featurette dedicated to the behind-the-scenes and the new, unsettling reinterpretation of Oz and its characters, some of which have never appeared before in live-action.
Dark Journey Through Madness and Horrors
The story is set decades after Dorothy Gale's return from the world of Oz. Now an elderly woman, Dorothy is haunted by memories of a place no one believes ever existed, a realm that has become increasingly dark over time. The legacy of that nightmare passes to her granddaughter Emily, who is dragged into a decadent version of Oz dominated by madness and horrors, where the boundaries between dream and reality have shattered.
Daniel Alexander directs, making his feature film debut from a screenplay by Matthew R. Ford, expanding on their 2023 short film Gale: Stay Away from Oz. Chloë Crump plays Emily Gale, with Karen Swan as Dorothy. We hope for at least a "liquid incursion" of the film onto Italian platforms.
