The Necronomicon returns to the scene, the book of the dead. Evil Dead Burn is a reality, and the first image leaked from the set promises a return to visceral horror. Directed by Sébastien Vaniek, the film marks a new era for the saga born from the genius of Sam Raimi, with its release set for July 24, 2026.

Produced by Warner Bros., Evil Dead Burn follows the success of Evil Dead Rise, which in 2023 brought the demonic cult back into vogue with aestheticized and uncompromising violence. This time, Vaniek — discovered and personally chosen by Raimi after the horror film Infested — promises to push even further into blood, fire, and infernal possessions.

New Adventure Unconnected to the Past

The film will not be a direct sequel, but a new standalone story set in the same universe, faithful to the saga's "anthological" spirit. An approach that keeps the mythology of the cursed book alive, capable of resurrecting in a thousand forms and always with new victims.

According to initial rumors circulating online, filming has already concluded and the footage has entered post-production. Images from the set show a claustrophobic atmosphere steeped in physical terror, in the purest Raimi style. With this chapter, Warner aims to transform Evil Dead into an even more prominent franchise.
