Dying Light: The Beast Elevates Parkour and Combat
Techland has improved the two key elements of the series, let's see how
The appointment with Dying Light: The Beast is approaching: the new zombie action and survival title will be released on September 19, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store (it will later reach PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms). Its developer, the Polish studio Techland, has shared a new trailer to show us how they have improved the two main components of the game.
The Beast's Parkour
In Dying Light: The Beast, the physics of parkour have been refined to remove any impression of excessive lightness, thus conveying greater realism. Players will enjoy maximum freedom of direction and every architectural element of Castor Woods has been designed for a seamless parkour experience. The protagonist Kyle will have new moves available and there are over 100 new animations (for example, there are 17 different ones just for grabbing ledges).
The Beast's Combat
The combat system will benefit from a new physics engine and weapons will provide a greater sense of impact, also depending on where the enemy is hit (there are 12 different impact points on bodies). The ragdoll physics have evolved to the point that zombies can counterattack immediately after being hit. Stealth mechanics have been deepened, as has the AI of human enemies, who now seek cover during firefights and use up to 22 different strategies to choose their combat position.
