Dying Light: The Beast Cancels Old-Gen Versions
The game will no longer be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Dying Light: The Beast was originally conceived as additional content for Dying Light 2 Stay Human, but then became a stand-alone experience, which was released in September 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is a title that brings the series' gameplay back to the glory of the first chapter, with improved parkour and visceral combat, although it suffers a bit narratively.

Developer Techland had intended to bring Kyle Crane's latest adventure to last-generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; however, this title was conceived specifically for current hardware, and a conversion would have required too many compromises. For this reason, after careful consideration, Techland decided to cancel the old-gen versions of The Beast.
