DLSS 5 Criticized, Nvidia CEO Responds
Jensen Huang doesn't mince words with those expressing skepticism

The application of artificial intelligence in video game development is undergoing a new evolution with DLSS 5, the new technology presented by Nvidia that redefines lighting and surfaces within an image. This innovation has been met negatively online: criticism has been leveled from multiple sides against what is seen as an "AI filter", which would alter the original work of artists.
Jensen Huang's Response
The controversy erupted mainly regarding the protagonists of Resident Evil Requiem, Grace and Leon, who appear very different from the original after receiving the DLSS 5 treatment. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, responded to the criticism unequivocally (via Tom's Hardware). According to Huang, DLSS 5's detractors are completely wrong, because the new technology merges the control of geometries, textures, and so on with generative AI.
Developers can adjust the tool as they please, so as not to lose their authority in the creative field. Huang specifies that DLSS 5 should not be considered as post-production at the frame level, but rather as generative control at the geometry level.
