Disclosure Day – Spielberg's SF Film Trailer Suddenly Drops
If you discovered we are not alone, if someone proved it to you…would you be afraid?

Universal Pictures surprised everyone with the sudden launch of the first trailer for Disclosure Day, a Steven Spielberg film dedicated to the topic of UFOs and extraterrestrial revelation. In an era dominated by leaks and continuous anticipations, the project remained shrouded in mystery until December 16, when official trailers and images were released, following a cryptic teaser campaign that culminated with a Times Square billboard promising: “All Will Be Disclosed”.
Based on an original story by the director himself, Disclosure Day is written by David Koepp, his long-time collaborator and author of, among others, Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The trailer anticipates a return to the atmospheres dear to the more science-fictional Spielberg: crop circles, enigmatic messages, unsettling signals, and the feeling that a global and potentially catastrophic event is imminent.
Return to Beloved Science Fiction
The synopsis is clear: “If you discovered we are not alone, if someone proved it to you…would you be afraid?” The cast is high-profile and includes Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. Production is handled by Amblin Entertainment, with Spielberg and Kristie Macosko Krieger.
With Disclosure Day, Spielberg has returned to his ideal territory: spectacular science fiction that is also profoundly human. The release in Italian cinemas of one of the most anticipated cinematic events of the year is set for June 11, 2026.
