Death Stranding Isolations - Hideo Kojima and the TV Series
It won't be a simple spin-off project from the 2019 video game

The enigmatic world imagined by Hideo Kojima is preparing to return to the scene in a completely new form. During Disney Asia Pacific's original content event in Hong Kong, the celebrated game designer made a surprise appearance to announce Death Stranding: Isolations, an animated series set to debut on the streaming platform in 2027.
This will not be a simple spin-off project from the 2019 video game, but an autonomous reinterpretation set in the same narrative universe. The series will tell an untold story centered on two new protagonists, a young man and a woman, on a journey through a world marked by isolation and fragile connections — themes that made Kojima Productions' original iconic.
Two New Protagonists Amidst Isolation and Fragility

For this new adventure, Kojima will serve as executive producer and collaborate with director Takayuki Sano. The first images shown reveal Ilya Kuvshinov's style, which imbues the production with a melancholic and futuristic aesthetic. The animation will be handled by E&H Production studio, known for its expressive and intense 2D style.
Disney+ and Kojima have previously collaborated on the documentary Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds, but this time the goal is even more ambitious: to bring the universe of Death Stranding even to those who have never played the video game.
According to Kojima himself, animation is the ideal medium to explore aspects of his narrative world that are impossible to represent elsewhere. And the "international surprises" he hinted at suggest a high-profile voice cast.
